The Neal-Marshall Black Culture (NMBCC) library is a hub of information networking, bibliographic instructions, and serves as a cultural resource for all Indiana University students, faculty, and staff.

The library features archival and programming space for writing groups, study tables, book clubs, and other special events. The library is also a lab space for the AAADS Department as part of the Black Humanities in the Midwest (BHIM) project, a Mellon Foundation initiative across Indiana University that advances research in the humanities, arts, and civic engagement rooted in the rich histories and cultural legacies of Black and African Diasporic communities in Indiana and throughout the Midwest.

Many student organizations exist on campus to support students in leadership, professional development, and community-building. The Neal-Marshall facilitates a Black Leadership Roundtable, an initiative that brings student leaders together to discuss important topics related to the student experience, resources for their organizations, and opportunities for collaboration.
